Volunteer opportunities

We have some fantastic volunteering opportunities for 2024 here at Healthwatch Northumberland! We’re the health and social care champion for people in Northumberland who use these services, and you can help us improve care by making sure NHS leaders and other decision-makers hear the views and experiences of residents.

You won’t have to work alone and no experience is necessary

You will be well supported, working as part of a friendly team. We welcome anyone with or without relevant experience – training will be provided.

It won’t cost you anything but time!

Appropriate expenses, including travel costs, will be paid.

Enter and View volunteering

Here at Healthwatch Northumberland we have the power to ‘Enter and View’ providers of health and social care, such as hospitals, care homes and dentists, and to observe and report on how those services are being run.

We are looking to expand this work in 2024 and have some exciting opportunities for volunteers to help us hear from people living in care homes, about their lives and their care.

If you enjoy talking to people and you are a good listener, we’d love to hear from you! We offer training and expenses are paid.
