MS Society – Finding and Filling the Gaps

A day to learn, talk and share everything linked with MS. Bringing together people affected by MS, practitioners and commissioners across health and social care in Northumbria, finding out about the latest care, treatments and the work of local services. An opportunity to identify the gaps, network and plan solutions to fill these gaps. The day will influence how people who have MS access treatments and services now and in the future.

This event from MS Society has been designed to support people affected by MS to work in collaboration with health and social care practitioners and commissioners to influence services. To achieve this, knowledge is needed of the most up to date treatments and developments for MS and this will be a big part of the day, making it an ideal learning and development opportunity for general practice, community nursing, social work, physiotherapy, emotional support, occupational therapy and many more. All aspects of living with MS, from treatments to emotional support, physical activity to symptom management will be covered.
