Volunteering Northumberland
Volunteers’ Week 2021 takes place 1 – 7 June and is a time to say thanks for the contribution millions of people make across the UK through volunteering. Without our volunteers here at Healthwatch Northumberland we would not have been able to achieve half of what we have over the last 12 months. Their support and dedication have helped us continue to hear from the people of Northumberland about their NHS and social care experiences during what has been a challenging time for everyone.
From taking telephone calls and helping with online events, to social media takeovers and research, our volunteers have helped us to continue with our work as independent champion for users of health and social care services, at a time when we have been unable to physically get out and about in communities across the county.
We have plans to get back on the road this summer, with our new gazebo and fantastic goodie bags, and we’ll be asking you to tell us your story, as part of our Annual Survey 2021. The team of staff and volunteers are very much looking forward to seeing you in person soon!
