Dementia training for carers.. 10 Helpful Hints for Carers

Do you care for a person with dementia? The Dementia Training Centre is offering FREE Dementia Training for Carers. They will be holding a session in Morpeth on Tuesday 17 April 2018 at the Northumberland County Blind Association.

The event gives practical information and help which draws on research and knowledge developed over the last 25 years. It provides an opportunity for carers to explore specific issues which matter to them, both with each other and with experts from Dementia Services Development Centre. The training is delivered in a relaxed environment by experts who have both professional and personal experience of caring for a family member with dementia. There will also be an opportunity for private questions.

Dementia Training for Carers days are free to attend, thanks to support from the Dementia Fund (Comic Relief, The Ballinger Trust and Northern Rock) and are available for family and unpaid carers living in the North East of England and Cumbria. The training takes place from 10:30am for a 11am start until 3pm with lunch and refreshments provided.
