Age UK Northumberland Drop In Clinic

Age UK Northumberland has a monthly drop in clinic at Corbridge Health Centre, on the first Monday of the month, 10.00am – 2.00pm. The drop in clinic can help you find out more about maximising you income, managing a health condition, social activites and day centres in your area.

You don’t need to be a patient at Corbridge Health Centre to visit the Age UK Northumberland drop in clinic.

Community Information Morning – Hexham

The next Community Information Morning from Adapt (NE) will take place on Tuesday 14 May, between 10.30am and 12.30pm in the Resource Room (next to Cafe at Burn Lane). Come along and talk to local organisations with advice and support about health, wellbeing and more. For more information call: 01434 600599. Confirmed to attend this month are Age UK Northumberland, Alzheimers Society, Northumberland Community Development Company and Talking Matters, along with members of the HWN team.

Living Well in Tynedale

This event is hosted by Tynedale Dementia Action Alliance and is designed to be a fun afternoon that can help optimise physical and mental health.

Everyone is welcome to come along and find out what support and activities are available in the area. Highlights will include:

  • How to stay active and fit
  • Volunteering opportunities
  • Start new hobbies and interests
  • Financial advice and resources
  • Live music

Refreshments will be available at the event. Healthwatch Northumberland will be there so make sure you come and say hello!

If you’re a carer over 60 you’re invited to a free event from Carers Northumberland, to see what support is on offer. The event is a chance to find out about carers’ rights, have a go at some spring crafts and even take part in the Great Carers Bake Off!

Community Information Morning – Hexham

The second of Adapt (NE)‘s Community Information events will take place on Wednesday 13 February, between 10.30am and 12.30pm in the Resource Room, next to Cafe at Burn Lane. This time you can get lots of advice and information from the NHS Patient Advice and Liaison Service, Age UK Northumberland, The Bridge Project, Carers Northumberland and Healthwatch Northumberland. Grab a cuppa from the cafe and come through for a chat with these local organisations who are here to support you with health, wellbeing, job and financial advice.

Carers Rights Day 2018

Are you a carer? Do you know your rights?

Come along to this Carers Rights Day event which this year has the theme ‘Caring for your Future’.

There will be lots of information and advice on:

Carers Rights, Paying for Care, Welfare Rights, Employment, Local Carer Support and much more.

Stall holders include: Healthwatch Northumberland, Welfare Rights Unit, Adult Services, Age UK, Alzheimer’s Society, Citizens Advice Bureau, Hospice Care North Northumberland, Bridge Project, Northumberland Cancer Awareness, NTW mental Health services, Escape Family Support.

Try a relaxing therapy or a craft and have a cuppa with a Key Worker.
