Carers Northumberland Annual Fair

The Cares Northumberland Annual Fair is being held during National Carers Week, which takes place 11 – 15 June this year.

The event will be opened by guest speaker Debra Dodds, Carer Lead at Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and the day will offer talks and workshops, a quiz and raffle, information stalls, crafts and introduction to gentle movement from Soul Medicine.

Refreshments and lunch will be provided.

Advanced booking for this event is required; you can book your place by calling: 01670 320025. Transport may available for those who need it, from Berwick, Alnwick, Morpeth ans Ponteland. Please ask at the time of booking.

The Healthwatch Northumberland team will be at the fair so we look forward to seeing everyone there.

Confidentially Caring from Carers Northumberland

A free taster session from Carers Northumberland which looks at how carers manage their daily lives and the constant juggling of caring responsibilities and personal stress. It aims to support carers in sharing experiences and offer a few possible coping mechanisms to take away. Carers will also find out more about the personal and practical support that Carers Northumberland can offer to sustain the health and wellbeing of the most important person – the unpaid family carer.

Carers Northumberland Info Event – Bellingham

Carers Northumberland will be holding an information event at the Community Fire Station in Bellingham on Thursday 27th July 2017, from 1.00pm – 3.00pm.

Come along and speak with the Information & Advice Team about issues such as:

  • Benefits Information
  • Help to access a Cares Assessments
  • Accessing carer grants
  • Emergency Cards
  • Support needs
