Age UK Northumberland
Age UK Northumberland runs a weekly Bereavement Friendship Group for anyone over 50 who would like to meet other people going through similar experiences. The group runs every Wednesday, 10am to 12pm, at Haydon Bridge Community Centre, Ratcliffe Road, NE47 6ET.
There is also a Bereavement Support Service which offers counselling, self-help information, mindfulness sessions and signposting to further support.

Tynedale Hospice at Home
Tynedale Hospice at Home offers free and confidential pre and post bereavement support for anyone living in Tynedale, Ponteland and West Northumberland, whether they have been affected by hospice care or not. Support is available for both adults and children.

Tynedale Hospice at Home runs free Bereavement Cafés in Hexham, Haltwhistle, Ponteland and Prudhoe – details below.
Hexham: First and third Thursday of each month (10:00am-12:00pm) Hexham Community Centre.
Haltwhistle: Second and fourth Wednesday of the month (10:00am-12:00pm) Haltwhistle Library (Room 3).
Prudhoe: Second and fourth Thursday of each month (10:00am-12:00pm) Methodist Church.
Ponteland: First and third Wednesday of each month (10:00am-12:00pm) Merton Hall, Ponteland.
HospiceCare North Northumberland
Free bereavement support service in Alnwick and Berwick, either one-to-one or in a group. You can self-refer or be referred by a health professional.

HospiceCare North Northumberland runs free Bereavement Cafés at their Wellbeing Centres in Alnwick and Berwick – details below.

Cygnus Support
Cygnus Support offers counselling to those who are experiencing a decline in their mental health due to a bereavement.
They run Bereavement Cafes in partnership with Bright Red in Cramlington (Cramlington Town Council Offices) or Bedlington (Bedlington Community Centre).
There is also an online Bereavement Coffee Morning every other Monday 10am to 11am to enjoy a cuppa along with others who have experienced a loss.
